December 6, 2009

Chad grew up celebrating "St. Nick's" at his house. It is a tradition that we try to keep going at ours as well. I'm pretty sure that we don't do it exactly the right way, but we have our own mini version and our boys think it's great.

We start by reading a little story about St. Nicholas. Then the kids each get out a shoe and put a treat in it for St. Nicholas's horse.

When the kids wake in the morning they find a small gift in their shoe. A few years back Jack had mentioned that he would like to start a nutcracker collection. So, every year since he has found a nutcracker in his shoe on the morning of St. Nick's.

Today's Activity: St. Nick's
