Nixin's Preschool Graduation

Wow! A second child finished with preschool. The are growing up a lot faster than I would like them to. I keep saying that I would like time to freeze. Right now. I love the ages that my boys are. They are all so wonderful and I am truly enjoying the phases that each of them are at right now. It is my greatest joy to be their mother.

Nixin's graduation program was so cute! The kids did a great job. Nixin has LOVED Miss Amee's Preschool. He loves her, he loves learning and creating, loves playing, loves the friends that he has made there, and loves having "Nixin time" away from home. He did wonderful and is excited to start kindergarten. He is ready for his new adventure :) Way to go Nix!

NY Yankees

Jack and Nixin have been playing baseball! Their team is the NY Yankees and they rock. I'm not exactly sure who their coach it, but he sure is sexy... Okay, Chad is their coach :) He has done a wonderful job. Jack and Nixin love the sport and are really good at it. It is most likely something that we will stick with. Go Yankees!

Bountiful Baskets

My wonderful next door neighbor introduced me to the greatest thing, Bountiful Baskets! It is a food co-op where you can order fresh fruit and veggies for a great price. You have to sign up between Mondays at 4pm and Tuesdays at 11am. The cost is $15 for a whole basket! You never know what seasonal produce you will find when you arrive at your pick up location. The produce pictured was all in just one basket and it was all stuff that we love to eat (except Swiss Chard... it is still wilting in my refrigerator)! Pick up is on Saturday mornings. If you are interested, visit www.bountifulbaskets.org. I highly recommend it :)

Crazy Hair

I remember it being a St. Patrick's Day Sunday when I was young. My mom thought that she was hilarious when she so carefully snuck that green hairspray in my hair before church. I was so embarrassed. I wanted to wash my hair before I dared to leave the house. She wouldn't let me. I remember feeling awful that day.

Fast forward to crazy hair day at school. Jack knew that he wanted big spikes. I thought that I was so hilarious when I added those couple of drops of food coloring to the travel sized hairspray bottle. I thought that I was going to win the "coolest mom ever" award. Wrong. I made my own kid feel embarrassed enough that he didn't want to leave the house without washing his hair. But, I wouldn't let him. He went to school with green hair. The difference between our two stories, however, was that Jack came home from school feeling the opposite of awful. He felt awesome. It turns out that it is cool to have green spikes at school, much better than green hair at church. Phew!
